Tarotbook is a mobile app for self-reflection through tarot: daily guidance, interactive spreads, personal forecasts, compatibility checks and live sessions with tarot advisors. We designed the app from scratch, set its visual style and made the promo materials.
Challenge
Bring the ritual of tarot into a calm, modern app: help people find clarity and reflect on their own path through interactive spreads and simple navigation, and make a reading feel natural on a phone.
Approach
We kept navigation simple, built a clear scenario for each kind of reading and added smooth transitions between steps. The home screen offers today's guidance with one tap on the deck, then near-future spreads, a personal spread for your own question, the tarotscope, a destiny hint and suggested advisors.
Through the app
Starting with you
Onboarding asks for a name, gender, birth date and time, relationship status and what is on your mind, then shows a progress screen while it prepares the first reading.
Today's guidance
The home screen offers today's guidance with one tap on the deck, then near-future spreads, a personal spread, the tarotscope, a destiny hint and suggested advisors.
The tarotscope
Daily, weekly and monthly readings for love, finance and health.
A spread for your own question
Spreads cover yes-or-no questions, love and romance, and a personal spread where you type a question and draw the cards.
Reading the cards
A drawn card comes with its meaning for love, career and health, and an offer to ask an expert when the reading is not enough.
A live advisor
Advisor profiles with ratings and rates, session booking, and chat with coupons and file sharing.
Booking and paying
A session length, the balance, a card or Apple Pay.
History and profile
Night blue and a deck of its own
The look is night blue with light accents, a modern serif called Clust for headings and NT Somic for text. The design file holds an illustrated tarot deck in the app's palette, a set of archetype characters and a component library with loading states for the key screens. We also laid out a desktop web version of the main flows.
